The first chapters of Ashley Sweeney‘s work in progress, Answer Creek, placed as a finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association annual fiction writing contest. Sweeney plans to publish her second novel with She Writes Press on the Spring 2020 list.

Linda Gartz, author of Redlined, will be speaking at the Book Cellar in Chicago on September 13th.

Carlyn Montes De Oca, author of Dog as My Doctor, Cat as My Nurse, has been selected to give a TEDx Talk at the 7th Annual TEDx Conference on Thursday, September 27 in Wilmington, Delaware.
