Congrats to Amy S. Peele (Cut), Judith Newton (Oink) and Michelle Cox (A Ring of Truth) for making the SHORT LIST for the 2017 Mystery & Mayhem Book Awards by Chanticleer Book Reviews & Media.

Andrea Jarrell (I’m The One Who Got Away) and her husband Brad were featured in The Washingtonian.

Heather Cumiskey‘s I Like You Like This was picked as one of the best new romance novels by YourTango. USA TODAY’s Happy Ever After also shared an excerpt from I Like You Like This.

Teresa Sullivan, author of Mikey and Me, was interviewed on the No Small Victories radio show, which airs on the global radio network W4WN Radio. As a partner of iHeart Radio, W4WN is the world’s #1 Ranked Women’s internet radio station with listeners in all 197 countries and all United States. And The Autism File ran a two-page spread using an excerpt from Mikey and Me (see page 38 and 39).

Kate Jessica Raphael (Murder Under the Fig Tree) was featured on The San Francisco Book Review.

Sarah Kowalski (Motherhood Reimagined) was featured on ESME.com and in a guest post on Motherhood Later.

Diane Pomerantz (Lost in the Reflecting Pool) had a local feature in the Baltimore Jewish Times.

Naked Mountain by Marcia Mabee was listed as a popular title in a report about the June 2017 Combined Book Exhibit at the ALA.

Loraine Van Tuyl, author of Amazon Wisdom Keeper, did an interview with Tania Pryputniewicz.

Laraine Denny Burrell‘s Our Grand Finale was featured in The Wenatchee World.

Sandra Butler‘s (It Never Ends) essay on how to be a good middle-aged daughter to an aging parent was featured on First For Women.

This weekend, Ashley Sweeney is attending the Women Writing the West conference in Tucson where her novel, Eliza Waite, is a finalist for the WILLA Literary Award for historical fiction. Named for Willa Cather, the award honors female authors writing about the American West.

Congrats to SWP authors Andrea Jarrell (I’m The One Who Got Away) and Joan Dempsey (This Is How It Begins) for making the Top 10 Best Sellers in Fiction and NonFiction in the Portland Press Herald.

Joan Dempsey (This Is How It Begins) was featured in this month’s Poets & Writers Magazine, in the “5 Over 50” article, she was named as one of “5 more over 50” writers to watch! Joan also was spotlighted on Washington Independent Review, Beth Fish Reads and Fiction Writers Review.

Lynn Dow (Nightingale Tales) had an incredibly successful event at Book Passage on Saturday, she sold all of the bookstore’s copies and 25 of her own. Hooray!

Sheila Grinell, author of Appetite, participated in the Author Showcase at Desert Foothills Library, voted best library in the Valley!

Today, October 27, Laurel Davis Huber (The Velveteen Daughter) will participate on a debut author panel sponsored by the NYC Chapter of Women’s National Book Association, at Penguin Random House 1745 Broadway, Cafe Auditorium, 6:30 PM. More details below…

 

Joan Dempsey has an upcoming Poets & Writers-sponsored reading this Sunday, October 29 at 5 PM at McNally-Jackson Books, 52 Prince Street (SoHo, between Lafayette & Mulberry) to celebrate the publication of This Is How It Begins.

Nancy R. Hinchliff, author of Operatic Divas and Naked Irishman, has an upcoming book signing at Barnes & Noble in South Burlington, VT on October 28, from 2-4 PM.

Laurie Kahn, author of Baffled by Love, has an upcoming event on October 28 from 4 – 7 PM at the Laurel Bookstore in Oakland, California. RSVP here.
