A New Opportunity for Our Authors: NetGalley Listing Program
We’re excited to offer a limited number of our authors access to NetGalley, the industry-standard platform for building early buzz around new books.
What Is NetGalley?
NetGalley connects authors with reviewers, librarians, booksellers, media, and educators who discover new books on the platform and recommend them to their audiences. It’s where industry insiders go to find their next great read and where authors go to make sure those insiders find them.
To participate in NetGalley, publishers must have an account and then upload a book’s digital advance reader copies (ARCs). This makes ARCs available to registered NetGalley users who wish to discover, read, review, and talk about those books. For anyone participating in this program, the SWP team will field and approve the requests from readers and reviewers.
Why NetGalley Is Helpful Leading Up to Publication
Getting your book in front of the right readers before launch day can make all the difference. NetGalley gives authors access to a whole host of readers and industry professionals. Every bookseller who requests your book opens the door to their customers. Every BookTuber or BookTok content creator provides potential access to their followers.
Advance reviews are a great way to get a head start on your marketing. Some consumer websites like Amazon and book review sites like Goodreads allow you to accumulate book reviews before your release date, which means more potential readers coming into contact with your work before launch day.
How It Works
SWP has five active ARC slots. The only way we can do this equitably is to have you sign up for 1, 2, or 3 months at a time. The cost is:
1 month: $225
2 months: $425
3 months: $625
6 months: $925
The reason the first month is that much more expensive is because of the work of setting up your files in the system.

Program Details
We are offering five spots in our NetGalley listing program at any given time. Participation is available on a monthly subscription basis, making it flexible and accessible.
This is a curated opportunity, meaning that we can’t accept everyone and we can only feature five titles at a time. The upside of this is that your book gets more visibility and attention within our program rather than getting lost in a crowded queue. Spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
How Will Billing Work?
We will send you an invoice for your selection of 1, 2, or 3 months once we’ve determined which months you want and whether there’s space.
What Months Should You Choose?
The best months are the three months leading up to your pub date so if you’re publishing in early June, you would choose March, April, May; if you’re publishing in late June you would choose April, May, June.
Is NetGalley Right for Your Book?
This program is especially well-suited for authors who:
- Have an upcoming release and want early reviews in place before launch
- Are looking to connect with librarians, booksellers, educators, and media
- Want professional feedback to build momentum and credibility
- Are open to digital ARC distribution as part of their marketing strategy
NetGalley is a purely digital platform, so your book will be distributed securely as a digital file. No print copies needed.
