Linda began her career as a graphic designer after earning a degree in graphic design from the University of Bridgeport, CT. She went on to manage marketing projects in banking, insurance, and financial services. As a freelance wedding officiant, she’s helped over 1,000 couples begin married life with customized ceremonies. She currently wields her marketing expertise for an international non-profit focused on meditation; she also recently completed training as a hatha yoga teacher. Linda spends her spare time writing, hiking, kayaking, practicing yoga, planning trips, and staying in touch with the friends she’s met in her travels. Wake Up is her debut memoir, and she moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 2022.
about WAKING UP

Under the dual pressures of a crumbling relationship and an insistent inner voice, Linda launches out of marriage and corporate life in San Francisco and into a realm of higher consciousness that is both exhilarating and mystifying. With humor, a fair degree of skepticism, and a beginner’s enthusiasm, she embarks on a journey that takes her to Sedona, Arizona; the Virgin Islands’ St. John; Santa Fe, New Mexico; and beautiful Bali. Along the way she encounters Tarot Card–reading therapists, channelers, connections from former lives, gurus, healers, and wizards—experiences that lead her to begin a meditation practice and acquire a new vocabulary for living that includes God-consciousness, self-inquiry, and devotion to her own inner wisdom.
As Linda pursues the holy grail of fulfillment and joy in this lifetime—enlightenment—she discovers the mystical Kundalini energy described in ancient Vedic scripture is fueling her travels and the gradual transformation of her outlook on life. She discovers the healing qualities that an uncluttered mind can bring to a formerly ambitious and career-driven human, and she begins to experience how the universe conspires to open doors when we begin to ask two very important questions: Who am I? and Why am I here?
Part wry commentary on the pitfalls of the spiritual journey, part travelogue, and part love letter to the people and places Linda meets along the way, Wake Up is a beguiling tale of synchronicities, meditation experiences, chance meetings, and spiritual hiccups—and an ever-growing appreciation of the epic life journey we’re each bound to take.
